The book's idea was born while the author was recovering from an injury. Her youngest daughter, Javrielle, surprised her with TokTok, a golden retriever sweetie doggie – a furry princess! – saying it'd help her heal faster, and Javrielle had always wanted one. Initially, the author thought having a puppy would be manageable while she was off work. However, her physio raised concerns when she mentioned the puppy, and she wasn't wrong! TokTok brought sleepless nights, chewed-up jandals, zoomies, and accidents galore. The teething phase was chaotic – TokTok would bite and chew everything, including their Christmas tree decorations (they had to remove the lower half to save the tree!). They felt like giving up, but the love and snugz TokTok brought changed everything. The more time they spent with their sweetie doggie, the more inseparable they felt, falling head over heels in love with TokTok. Soon, they welcomed another fur baby, named Babie, into their home.
